Foil: I've followed a path that has never been travelled before. And without those who believed in me, I would have been nothing. Like all demons. Demons demand attention and obediance. They divert human destinies to feed themselves on belief. They prevent people from taking the untravelled path. That's not right. Demons, concepts, gods...all ideologies and dogmas...they should serve humanity, not constrain them. The human race should be master of its demons. Unfettered by arbitrary restraints of Order...and unafraid to face potential Chaos, ready for its possibilities. A self-determined humanity. That's what I'm here to create. And those who would dictate their future must end. Grant: Robert, even you can't support this. Lee: Hmmn. He is the Pendulum, at the cusp o' the age. In this moment, neither you nor I can oppose him. Grant: We'll see about that. I'll stop this foolishness... Lee: Now, boy. It must be now. Foil: Yes... |
