My original plan for the spirit world was to have dozens of recognizable, copyrighted characters fighting in all the backgrounds. I went another direction, though, deciding not to commit massive copyright violations. :) However, I did get permission to use several weird and wonderful characters that fit right into the surreal landscape. I need to start on the left-hand side with the most notable inclusion -- goD the Dyslexic doG, from the print comic of the same name drawn by the legendary Alex Nino and written by Brian and Phillip Phillipson. Terrific comic, and one that gave me a lot of inspiration for this strange chapter. Andrew from Emergency Exit and Evan from End of Things look a little worried, but goD is watching out for them. Above them, ABOL from Reasoned Cognition is teaching a lesson to Chang from Angst Is a Five Letter Word. Nearby is another lightning-toss between Visage from Parallel Dementia and ClockworkZen of Elvenbaath. Also on the top of the plain are the Doppies, who are fighting...each other. Well, that's what Doppies do. In the fissure, Sym from Alternate Delusions has Pooky from Antibunny in a sticky situation. OG from Orange Revolution seems to have a problem with Lou from Squid Ninja. But probably nobody is in as much trouble as Shishio from One Liners, faced with Vyolette from Triquetra Cats. Hopefully he can sweet talk his way out of it. I think this is the last chance I'm going to have to do cameos in this story. So check out those comics -- with the wide variety displayed here, odds are that at least one of them will appeal to you. :) Chapter ends on Friday, and then I'm on holiday vacation.
