Yes, we are now going through Debbie's explanation of Demonology. I gave you a few month's head start in the Extras section, whether you needed it or not.

I should point out that we have cameos today. In order, there is the unnamed lion from the Kenya video, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and of course the Yellow Kid. (By rights, he shouldn't be yellow...but have you ever tried to draw a recognizable Yellow Kid in grey tones? :) )

Debbie: A meme is an idea. An idea that makes people want to pass it on to other people. Memes are alive. But they're dumb thought viruses. They exist only to propagate. When many people carry a meme, it becomes sentient - It becomes a demon. The more believers, the better it thinks. Demons are sentient creatures made of thought. They affect the world by influencing those who carry them. Demons live for as long as people remember them. But they have no physical form, unless a powerful wizard conjures one for them.
Foil: And Avatars?
Debbie: An avatar is born when a powerful wizard merges himself with a powerful demon. Avatars are immortal -- they are their own source of belief. And they have power over the beliefs and demons of others.
Azile: Hrmn. That explains how Lee took me apart so easily. Some bodyguard I am.
Foil: Hey, so we can't fight Avatars. Nice strategy tip. Plenty of other dangers out there.
