We have some cameos showing up in the strip today. Subbing for Pestilence, Death, and War are Stolle from Stolle Bengtsson, Deadhead from Grim Tidings, and War from Digital War -- three fine Keenspacer strips. Can't see a way to have a lot of cameos in IP, but I was happy to fit these in.

Tricia: He was a chaos mage. He was not 'the' General Robert E. Lee. But the nature of magic is that eventually, you merge with the source of your power. Chaos is powered by taboo and destruction. He became the symbol of those things. Which, in the time he lived in, was General Lee. Foil: But why are there avatars of chaos and order? Why not...I don't know, pestilence, death, and war? Tricia: Maybe there are. I've never interacted with them. I'm caught in the war between order and chaos. So are you, now. Foil: Tricia, you said you were a chaos witch? Tricia: Yes. I've...broken a lot of taboos. Foil: Ever kill anyone? Tricia: Yes. Foil: I mean, have you ever killed an innocent person to -- Tricia: I know exactly what you means, Foil. You want the world to be full of good and evil. But it's only shades of grey. This is a world full of saints who perform unspeakable acts, and monsters who try to do good. We did something good today, Foil. Let's be satisfied with that. |
