I want to talk about fonts for a second.

When I decided to do a webcomic, I did some research on fonts and I found that there's a bigotry out there. People disdain the use of MS Comic Sans, because it's available on any Windows PC and thus it's 'too easy'. It's looked upon as the lazy man's choice for a comic font.

I feel the need to state, for the record, that I chose Comic Sans because it served my needs -- a lower case, full character set that is clear and readable. I've installed a few dozen free fonts arriving at this decision. I actually began the comic in Mighty Neo 2.0, because I wanted to avoid the Comic Sans bigotry. But after a few pages I went back and changed them because I did not like the look and they were not easy to read.

As you can see, though, I do intend to use other fonts as appropriate. Some didn't turn out so well. I got several complaints about Brobdijaraaz's text being too hard to read; after he's gone I won't use this font again. But I'm very happy with MS Comic Sans for normal speech.

So -- MS Comic Sans was a decision, and a difficult one, and I think it was a wise choice. If you're bigoted against Comic Sans, and dislike the comic sheerly on that ground, then I invite you to bite me.

Brobdijaraaz: As I am bound, I can give you a service, a secret, and a soul.
Tricia: That's fine. First the service -- free us. All of us.
Brobdijaraaz: Granted.
Tricia: Now the secret -- where is my brother?
Brobdijaraaz: He is nearby...
